“Be Still…take some time to reflect… There is greatness and power within you, to overcome whatever challenge you are facing right now.”Dr Sylvia Forchap-Likambi
Too often when we encounter life challenges or crisis, without any prior knowledge, experience, or expectation, it is but normal to get drawn away in the challenging circumstances, without necessarily taking the time out to reflect. Too often than not, we turn to react to challenging situations in life rather than respond from a place of rest and expectancy. We are hardly proactive in dealing with life challenges or crisis, as they often take us by surprise, without any prior experience or plan in affronting and overcoming any such crises.
When you set out knowing that in this world we will always have challenges, regardless of how excellent or successful we are, and then you are in a better position to be prepared to welcome and embrace life challenges with a very optimistic attitude and approach. In order words, when you expect something to happen, you are better equipped mentally and emotionally to handle and overcome it. Of note, it is written in John 16:33 that “in this world you will have tribulations, so be of good cheer for I have overcome the world”.
Reflecting in the midst of challenges or storms is an excellent kick off strategy for victory, as this gives you first and foremost the amazing opportunity to seek the much needed energy and mental strength to equip and prepare you for victory. It gives you the ultimate opportunity to be in control once again, amidst all odds. This is because reflection takes your focus and energy off the crises or challenge and focus it on YOU! It gives you the perfect opportunity to be the author and finisher of your own story…the opportunity to make and be change you expect to see after the situation. It gives you an opportunity to tap from within you, to search deep down within your soul for intuitive guidance and directions.
It also gives you the opportunity to be still, and shut off all the negative voices and distractions from without. It takes your eyes off the challenge or problem, and places it in you, and the solution. It gives you the opportunity to think, rethink, strategise, relax, refresh, pray, listen to your inner being/ spirit, meditate, be creative, and come out with one or more possible options and a way forward.
All my love and God bless you…
